Green Homes Tour 2012

The Middle Tennessee 2nd Annual Green Homes Tour (benefiting USGBC Mid TN and Cumberland River Compact) is Saturday and Sunday, October 6 & 7,  2012.  Tuck-Hinton has a team of architects volunteering to help with this year’s tour.

SEE beautiful, eco-friendly homes and yards that save energy, water and money

LEARN about the practices and benefits of sustainable building and low impact landscaping

ACT to live more sustainably in Middle Tennessee homes and neighborhoods

Homes selected for the tour meet important third-party-verified green building standards, such as LEED, EarthCraft House or Energy Star. They all showcase the beauty, function and cost savings of green homes, and include extensive educational information. You’ll see homes ranging from ultra-urban to suburban to rural, and from modest affordable homes to million dollar upscale homes. Come see all the latest in cost effective sustainable practices including solar energy, geothermal, maximum insulation, water efficiency, rain water harvesting, sustainable landscaping and more. If you have any interest in sustainable living, this is a great opportunity to see some of Nashville’s cutting edge green homes and learn practical things you can do in your home right away.

Opportunities are open to volunteer with the planning of the event and serving as tour guide the day of the event. For volunteer information please contact Program Director Gwen Griffith at
