THA Fish Scales
Thank you for keeping up with THA Rainbow Fish Treehouse Blog, our team won the opportunity to build a unique treehouse, along with six other treehouse designers, at Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art. The 2012 Treehouses Exhibit at Cheekwood will display seven treehouses, and will be open to the public Saturday, May 26, 2012.
Tuck-Hinton’s Treehouse Team has been busy over the past few weeks, they’ve been working onsite constructing a beautiful, majestic treehouse in the shape of a fish overlooking a small serene pond at Cheekwood. The team recently added the fish scales, which consist of recycled CD’s secured on chicken wire made into sheets. The team used around 100 30”x48” sheets to complete the fish scale process. By using the CD’s the fish scales appear bright, vivid and shiny on the outside and once you walk into the treehouse the mosaic color really stands out.
