Tuck-Hinton team selected as winner of Cheekwood treehouse competition
A group of team members from Tuck-Hinton Architects were recently named one of the seven winning designs for this year’s Cheekwood Botanical Garden’s Treehouse Competition.
This year’s Treehouse theme, “Great works of literature”, inspired the Tuck-Hinton design team to create a large multi-colored fish for a treehouse, based on the famous children’s book, “The Rainbow Fish”.
2011 GINGERTOWN’S MOST CONTEMPORARY AWARD
Tuck-Hinton Architects & their families participated in the annual Gingertown Nashville, hosted by ESa Architects, this event brings together members of the design industry to design and build a gingerbread city and then donate the buildings to local charities such as the Ronald McDonald House, Hospital Hospitality House, Cumberland Senior Living, and Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
Great Places in America Recognition Event
Tuesday, October 18th at 1pm a Celebration is being held at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park being designated as a 2011 Great Public Space by the American Planning Association. This event will take place at the Bicentennial Mall Court of Three Stars unless inclement weather then it will be held outside of the Visitor Center/ Park Office under the Railroad Trestle off of James Robertson Parkway.
Tuck-Hinton Architects have been invited by TDEC Commissioner Bob Martineau and Tennessee State Parks to attend this event. The Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park was designed by Tuck-Hinton Architects in 1992.
GREAT PLACES IN AMERICA: PULIC SPACES
The 2011 American Planning Association recently held a celebration of excellence in planning and recognized The Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in Nashville as one of our country’s Top 10 Greatest Public Places in America. The Bicentennial Capitol Mall was designed by Tuck-Hinton Architects in 1992. Since built this site has been the location for numerous festivals and events.

Tuck-Hinton Architects proudly announces new Intern Architects
Tuck-Hinton Architects proudly announces the addition of Janie Wright, Dale Brackeen, and Oren Yarbrough to the firm as Intern Architects.
Janie Wright, originally from Waverly, received her Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2009 from the University of Tennessee. She is a LEED Accredited Associate, adept at Revit Modeling software, and is currently assisting on the ambitious expansion of the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum.
